My daughter Rebekah, is an artist. She specializes in paintings; we have RM originals throughout the house. Her artistic works are pretty amazing.
With Valentine's Day right around the corner, Rebekah challenged herself to find a creative way to express her love for her friends and do it in her own unique way.

This is the book pages paper heart wreath, adorned with my bday flowers |
A few weeks ago, I made a Valentine wreath using heart-shaped cutouts from an old book. (It was a harlequin, I promise) I thought it would be different and I was pleased with the result. Rebekah took the idea to the next level. She cut out hearts from thin cardboard, cut out some more hearts from my book pages. She glued the book pages to both sides of the card. Then she decorated them. Take a look at these lovelies. She will present them to her friends on the big day with some candy hearts. Aren't they great?
Here is how she did it:
|
Cut hearts from soft card; cereal boxes are good, cut the same from an old book |
|
Really, it was a terrible book. |
|
These are the final projects, decorated on both sides, add a small bag of chocolates and they are good to go |
Tell someone you love them tomorrow!!
